Future Talent Awards

Touted as four days of sun, sea, (white) sand, surf and music – it’s not hard to see why Beachbreak is one of The Student Pocket Guide’s favourite summer festivals. 2010 sees Beachbreak Live return for it’s fourth year. It’s looking better than ever, and here’s why: Heading the line-up are pop-maestro Calvin Harris, Drum and Bass big-guns Chase & Status and the Brit Award winning Ellie Goulding. We’ll be there too! Not just with our SPG microphone, grabbing great interviews, but hosting our very own and super-cool secret gig exclusively for you: The SPG faithful.

Having had a whale of a time at Beachbreak Live 2009, we want to see as many of you enjoying this unique festival for yourselves this year! With us all there together, what better way to celebrate than to congregate at a secret onsite location with an intimate performance from a top act! The only way to get access to this Exclusive VIP Party is by booking your ticket direct via www.beachbreaklive.com/SPG. Even if Prince Harry turns up, if his names not down he’s not getting in!

Also playing across the five-day event are Example, Plan B, New Young Pony Club and The Futureheads. The line-up is further substantiated by a wealth of superstar DJ’s including Radio 1’s Annie Mac and The Scratch Perverts, as well as breakthrough acts including I Blame Coco and Daisy Dares You. The now-famous Beachbreak fun-and-frolics will return; including The Moustache Bar, The Camped-Up Camp Fire and The Ridiculously Hot Tubs.

(All doing exactly what they say on the tin).

Beachbreak Live - Student Pocket Guide

Abodus - Live until 29th Sep 24

With this year’s Beachbreak Live at Pembrey Country Park – a brand new and breath-taking site on the south Welsh coast, the ever-growing festival will home around 17,500 of us students for five days in June – and promises to be as student-friendly as ever!

As if the stunning location, stellar line-up, fun-and-frolics AND SPG’s secret gig isn’t enough for us, nearby offsite activities include surfing, coasteering, wakeboarding and paddle boarding.

Beachside sports in full-swing throughout the weekend include volleyball and extreme Frisbee, and there’ll be plenty of opportunity for beach BBQ’s, ice-creams, sandcastle-building and other associated beach-time tomfoolery!

14th-18th June sounds like a perfect date for kicking back and starting the summer in style! So grab your mates and rid yourselves of those student stresses with Beachbreak Live and The Student Pocket Guide. See you there!
