Gary Oldman Covers Fancy by Iggy Azalea by Georgina Rowe

Last week, Gary Oldman popped into Capital FM’s studio, and happened to record a pretty impressive cover of Iggy Azalea’s hit song ‘Fancy’.

Gary Oldman is probably most well-known to our generation as Sirius Black from the Harry Potter film series, but has had a film career spanning 3 decades. He has won (and been nominated for) many awards, including two BAFTAs for his film ‘Nil By Mouth’ and a Saturn award for ‘Bram Stoker’s Dracula’.

This isn’t the first time that the star has covered a popular song for Capital FM. Earlier in the year, Oldman covered the Pitbull & Ke$ha song ‘Timber’, producing hilarious results. Both his performances are great, reminding us of Tim Westwood, although that’s never good!

Oldman was at Capital FM to promote his new film ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’, the blockbuster sequel to 2011’s ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’. These both act as an origin story to the original ‘Planet of the Apes’ film (ignoring the remake!), and have been a massive success at the box office.

‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ was released on July 17th so you can see it at a cinema near you right now!
