The bank holiday is upon us, how can you not get a little bit excited about a three day weekend?  The usual bars and clubs in your town will be open and holding special bank holiday events but we thought we would come up with things going on that are just that little bit different.

Nottinghill Carnival is the biggest street party of the year and it is on this weekend, all weekend! With over a million people expected to attend there is going to be mass dancing in the streets to steel bands and African drummers.

Camden Beach is for those of you that haven’t had a chance to get away this year. Head down to the Roundhouse in Camden and perch yourself on their beach. Even if it’s going to be the usual bank holiday washout just grab your pack-a-mac and make the most of the beachy atmosphere. There’s going to be tasty food, live music and ice-cold (hopefully alcoholic) drinks.

Outdoor Cinema The outdoor Luna Cinema is in Maidstone’s Whatman park playing Grease and Dirty Dancing on a big screen under the stars. Bring something to sit on and a good old fashioned British picnic and you will be all set.

Model Market is one for the foodies out there. A trendy night time food market offering up the yummiest street food for you to much on whilst listening to live music and drinking cocktails. There is a real carnival feel to the market and really is something unique to get up to on bank holiday weekend.
