Future Talent Awards

We have all heard about the doom and gloom of the job market that awaits graduates when they finish their degree course. Often you have spent a significant amount of time and money gaining a wealth of knowledge that employers do not seem to want. Competition for graduate and entry level jobs is as high as ever, but a new job market is opening, the jobs you make yourself. These employers are you, the graduate entrepreneurs.

Graduate entrepreneurs are being taken seriously especially in the technology industry. In London tech start ups are big business. The Silicon Roundabout is located in the East End areas of Old Street, Shoreditch and Hoxton. Hundreds of new businesses have been born in this area in the last few years combining community, technology and most importantly entrepreneurship.

Today we are in a technology reliant world, just look at the rise of the Smartphone, ecommerce and social media. This world of technology is always going to be expanding; every company needs IT whether you are a multi million pound established brand or a graduate starting off with a buzz of ideas.  Ideally it would be great to have an idea and the money to create a start up company with no worries, but let’s be realistic about this; you will want to gain the knowledge from somewhere. A Computer Science Degree course will help you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed. In the technology industry, there is a wealth of information out there, waiting to be learnt and harnessed.

No wonder graduate entrepreneurs are taking the job market by storm, the best time to start off as an entrepreneur has got to be when you are young. Young people have that daring spirit and there’s a lot less to loose, unlike if you have a mortgage to pay and a family to provide for. Another bonus is that you can live at home with the parents where the costs are minimal, the meals are cooked and the washing is done. Sorted.
