Nail art is bang on trend at the moment, so to get you inspired and in the mood for the upcoming Easter holidays, I’ve created a step by step guide to creating your very own Easter bunny nails.
You will need:
- 5 pastel coloured nail varnishes for each bunny (obviously these can be changed depending on what colours you would like to use)
- A white nail art pen
- A black nail art pen (if you don’t have a pen, a toothpick will work just as well!)
These are the nail varnishes I used (I only chose 3 so you could see the nails in closer detail)
Step 1: Apply a base coat to prepare your nails for any colours that may stain.
Step 2: Draw semi – ¾ length circles on the tips of your nails in the colour(s) of your choice. This will be the bunny rabbits head. Apply as many coats as you feel necessary.
Step 3: For the ears, draw two lines coming out of each circle – like you can see in the image below.
Step 4: When that has dried, draw a thin line on the middle of each ear using a white nail art pen (or toothpick).
It should end up looking something like this:
Step 5: The next step is the face. Using the dotting part of the nail pen (or toothpick); draw two small dots for eyes. Follow this with a dot for the nose and gently drag them out to form the mouth.
Continue doing this for each finger until all the bunnies have faces.
Step 6: Wait for it to dry, apply a top coat for extra protection and voila! You’ve got yourself Easter bunny nails in 6 simple steps.
Obviously Easter bunnies aren’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea, so if you’re after a more subtle look, there are plenty of other designs you can try. Below, I’ve given you a few different ideas for using polka dots in your design.
1. Classic polka dot
2. Miss-matched spots
3. Twist on the typical French manicure
4. Spots increasing in size
5. Fruity
Note: To get the leaves at the top, angle the brush to form a triangle.
