Future Talent Awards

The sun is out, the Pimms is flowing and strawberries and cream are your main source of nutrients. This can only mean one thing, Wimbledon! Grab your racquet and get out on the grass because for the next two weeks, we’re going to see a scorching summer of tennis and what better way to celebrate it than by hitting a few balls yourself?

From the surging crowds that flock to Murray mound every year, to the arm chair aggressors that shout at their TV’s, Wimbledon is the ultimate British celebration where the nation comes together as one. No matter who you are or where you are from, you can’t avoid this heat wave of tennis fever!

But who will come out on top I hear you cry? Well, in the men’s singles we’ve got Novak Djokovic tipped as favourite to repeat last year’s success, however he’s not going to do so lightly. British Andy Murray will have the crowd pumping him to a second Wimbledon title and what’s more, the Scot seems to be in flying form over the past few months. It could be anybodies championship, so to scribble a name in the trophy would be unjust, and who’s to say that we won’t see Nadal or Federer make a comeback breakthrough?

In the women’s singles, we’ve got some serious talent on show too. The unstoppable powerhouse in Serena Williams will be the one to beat, so the question is can anyone stop her from her from getting her sixth Wimbledon? Young Heather Watson from Britain will be looking to do so and there is no doubt that the nation will be behind her to go the distance!

Today the matches serve off, so sit back, relax and watch as the action unfold at yet another historic Wimbledon. This is the true mark to the start of a British summer, so see you at Center Court!
