The fabulous Bobby Long did a fabulous cover of Nick Lowe’s song, (‘What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding’ this week for our YouTube Channel, ‘SPGtv.’ What’s more, as we enjoyed Bobby’s video so much and we think you did too, we thought we’d give you some info about the upcoming release of his new album as well as his UK tour dates … how nice are we?!

Bobby will be releasing his new album, ‘Ode To Thinking’ worldwide on 7th August via his new label, Compass Records. The talented singer-songwriter-guitarist recorded the album in Autumn last year along with producer, Mark Hallman. The two of them had a great partnership and ended up recording 14 songs in just 11 days.

‘Ode To Thinking’ features 11 tracks and is followed by his first UK/European tour, which runs from October-November and if previous albums are anything to go by, this one is sure to be a success. ‘A Winter Tale’ (2011) and ‘Wishbone’ (2013) were both very well received.

His UK tour dates are as follows:

  • 3rd November Birmingham Hare & Hounds
  • 4th November Manchester Night N Day
  • 5th November Glasgow King Tuts
  • 6th November London Borderline

So don’t forget to support Bobby on 7th August by buying a copy of his new album, ‘Ode To Thinking’ and to buy tickets to see him live on tour, simply visit Bobby’s website.
