In just over a month, festival fans all over the UK will be gearing up to take part in two of the biggest spectacles to take place on British soil, one in Leeds and one in Reading; you guessed it, Reading and Leeds festival. Bringing together the best of music for so many years now, the August bank holiday affair is set to be a raucous one and you don’t want to be missing out.

Last year we had Arctic Monkeys and Blink 182, and this year it’s all about Mumford and Sons, Metallica and The Libertines. Not only do all the lucky fans get to goggle on the awesome acts on the main stage, but in true R+L style, they’ve unleashed some more musical frolics on their other spotlights.

From the BBC Radio 1 Xtra extravaganza, to the BBC Radio 1/NME set, there is something for everyone at this iconic British festival. I genuinely can’t think of a better way to spend a sunny August bank holiday; a great celebration of tremendous music, camping in a field with friends and an extra day off work when the event is over. This is a proper rejoice in what the British festival season is all about, but let’s just hope the rain stays away!

Not only have we got headliners to rival the best of fests, but R+L are making room for the new guys too. From their previous use of the BBC introducing stage, they’ve dipped further into the indie talent pool and pulled out some real gems. You can expect Circa Waves, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Royal Blood and Slaves too, and these guys will certainly get the crowds going.

Haven’t got a ticket yet? Well there is still a chance to snap one up! Get online HERE and bag yourself a ticket to take part in some musical history. Weekend tickets are £213 and a sole day ticket will only set you back £66.50, so get yours before they sell out!
