I know, they say it all the time… if Carlsberg did this, if Carlsberg did that, but this time I think they’re actually worthy of it if they can pull off what they are showcasing in their new ad campaign. Now, we’ve all been there, whether it was in current times as an adult, or just a mere youngster looking to play some footy; the famous kick about with jumpers for goal posts. The sun would be shining, the emerald grass would be calling and you and a few mates would lavish in the great British football event known as the ‘Kick about’. From headers and volley’s, to an old fashion game of stings, it’s no doubt we’ve all had some rasping memories with the beautiful game.
The guy’s at Carlsberg have been oh, so clever and have picked up on this age old trend, and now have put it into a visual/footy heaven like context. They’ve released a trailer in which all of the negatives of a knock about have disappeared, so for example, the ball heading head first for a lake, one of the big lads injuring himself and also the critical point… jumpers for goal posts. With this, they’ve unmasked a fresh Carlsberg look on things and have said ‘If Carlsberg did kick abouts’ and in true larger lad style, they’ve perfected it. They even have duo buckets where you can get sleeve tattoos and an auto bar for the after game refreshment!
Carslberg, if only you could make this dream come true then I think you’d genuinely be onto something. There’s no doubt in my mind that me and my mates would be down every week for a game, and in that, we want to see Carlsberg Fields alive!
