The superhero game has been strong in the cinema over the past decade and we’ve seen some real knights in shining (also in tight lycra) armour come through. From the marvel crew, right through to the men behind Batman, our generation will well and truly love this genre for a long time to come, but have we just seen the era of film as we know it changed in a whole new direction? The ‘Merc with a mouth’ known as Deadpool has all of a sudden cropped up, and in that has taken pop culture by a storm.

Hinting with a trailer before a trailer, the anti hero played by Ryan Reynolds has been given his own movie that’ll be released in 2016, and it looks hilariously brilliant. Now, some of you may not know of this Marvel character, but the web has welcomed him with open arms over the past few years and it’s easy to see why with his dark humoured approach on heroics. Often described as a ‘disfigured and mentally unstable mercenary’, Deadpool has the ability to heal at a superhuman rate, and with that, is actually immune to diseases. He appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine in 2009 and will reprise this coming February in his own movie.

So, haven’t seen the short snippet of the Deadpool trailer, before the actually Deadpool trailer (which is released tomorrow)? Check it out below. You’ll either love him or hate him, but one thing is for sure, he’s certainly different from your average superhero. We can’t wait to see what is in store. Here’s to standing out, Deadpool…
