Into The Wild (2007)


Based on a moving true story, Into The Wild follows the life of Christopher McCandless, a young American student, as gives up everything he owns to move to the Alaskan wilderness. As you watch his search for happiness amongst his harsh and remote surroundings, you will feel yourself becoming truly inspired by what this young man aimed to do.

Eat Pray Love (2010)


Julia Roberts play a recent divorcee who gives up her comfortable life, for one of adventure, food, prayer and love. You’ll follow Liz Gilbert as she explores Italy, India and Bali, and on each leg of her journey you will find your inner wanderlust going crazy. And if you liked the film, be sure to read the book of the same name.

The Holiday (2006)


Christmas time can get to be a stressful time of year and I am sure many of you have wanted to up and leave your life for just a few weeks. And that is exactly what Iris (Kate Winslet) and Amanda (Cameron Diaz) do. They swap their homes with the click of a button and settle in for the ride as their lives slowly begin to change around them. From the snowy English countryside to the sunny sights of California, you’ll be taken away to two very different, yet equally fascinating destinations.

Wild (2014)


Another true story for you to get your mitts onto. This movie tells the story of Cheryl Strayed who, following the death of her mother, embarks upon a trek across the US. She travels thousands of miles along the Pacific Crest Trail, which takes her through the Cascade Mountains and the Sierra Nevada. For all you inspiring backpackers out there, this is the movie for you.

The Beach (2000)


Based on the 1996 novel by Alex Garland, The Beach, follows Richard during his Thailand adventure. After finding himself in possession of a strange map, the story transports Richard and the audience to a stunning solitary island. Filming for the movie took place on Thailand’s Phi Phi Island and this is definitely one movie to inspire the traveller within.

The Bucket List (2007)


Jack Nicolson and Morgan Freeman star as two terminally ill patients as they escape from their cancer ward in a bid to complete their wish list of to-dos before they die. This movie is full of incredible locations that would make anyone green with envy. These include the likes of the Taj Mahal, Mount Everest and an African Safari.

Tracks (2013)


Have you ever wanted to trek across the Western Australian outback with nothing but four camels and a dog for company? No? Well that’s exactly what Robyn Davidson did way back in 1977. She spent nine months travelling 1,700 miles across the desert and whilst the idea of this is slightly terrifying, you’ll also be overcome by how raw and incredible this Australian adventure is.
