I know, I know! We are only in the middle of November. But who says you can’t get in the festive spirit just a little early. Here are five festive things you can do (even on the tightest student budget) to feed that early Christmas buzz.

1. With the cold, dark nights drawing in, why not grab a mug of warm hot chocolate and  have a festive film night in with your friends. Whether your crying at Miracle On 34th Street or howling with laughter at Elf, a movie night in with friends is a definite way to spread some Christmas spirit.

2.Who cares if its November. Deck the halls with boughs of holly! Add some festive sparkle to your space with some twinkly fairy lights, hang up pretty Christmas decorations and go wild with the tinsel. Let Christmas be your excuse to turn your space into a winter wonderland.

3.Sometimes it’s the home made gifts that mean the most. Become Santa’s elf for the day and make a personalised gift for someone to cherish. Whether it’s a personalised photo frame or mug filled with sweeties home made gifts are a sure way to spread the love this Christmas.

4.Does exploring little gift shops, enjoying a mulled wine and trying your hand at ice skating sound enticing? Then head to a Christmas market! They offer the best place to get into the festive spirit, offering something for all, even those grumpy Christmas scrooges!

5. Don’t worry you don’t have to go Christmas carolling! But spreading Christmas joy to everyone you meet is a good way of putting that pre Christmas excitement to use. Whether you give up your seat on the bus or give your loose change to charity, giving back to others ensures everyone shares a little bit of your early Christmas buzz.

So who cares if its November! Spread the holiday spirit far and wide and make this years Christmas extra special.
