Future Talent Awards

New Years Eve is one of the most anticipated events in every student’s social calendar. And around the UK there are so many great events taking place. So here is a little run down off some of the best NYE events around.

Hogmanay, Edinburgh
This world famous Scottish festival is three days of pure entertainment and spectacular musical performances. Having attended last year’s sell-out event I really can’t recommend this enough. Catch Maximo Park, Slaves, as well as many other acts, at the Street Party. And once the clock strikes twelve watch the fireworks light up the sky above the striking Edinburgh Castle.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks, London
Unfortunately tickets for the Mayor of London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks are no longer available. But that doesn’t have to stop you from getting a glimpse of this world famous display. Although you will be restricted to certain areas around the River Thames and the Houses of Parliament, you are guaranteed to find a spot close by to watch the display.

Fancy Dress in Newquay, Cornwall
Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to take part in this much-loved Newquay tradition. The streets come alive with people adorned in all sorts of fancy dress outfits and crazy costumes. Just make sure you get yourself t Central Square to join fellow partygoers in the countdown to midnight.

House Party, Wherever You Call Home
Who’s to say that you can’t have an amazing NYE at home? If you want to avoid the crowds and the overpriced entry fees staying at home may be your best bet. Invite as many friends and family round as you can, get in some drinks, plug your ipod in and you’re away!

Abodus - Live until 29th Sep 24

Whatever you get up to this New Year’s Eve, I hope you all have an amazing night! Stay safe and remember to have fun.
