After a long year of working either in a job or at university, a summer holiday feels almost essential. Especially if you’re anything like me, where from the first hint of spring each day is only manageable with the thought of jetting off to a sun-filled resort.

On a budget, booking through travel agents can be overpriced. So here’s a few third party websites that offer package holidays at a discounted rate, and some deal inspiration – all protected under the ATOL scheme.

Loveholidays.com

Love Holidays offer deposits from £49 and monthly payments too – which makes everything seem more managable. I personally booked through them and found the price was £150 cheaper than Thomas Cook despite being one of their holidays – and I had no issues with customer service here.

Be Live Family Lanzarote Resort – rated 4* on Tripadvisor and only £461 for a week in the middle of June.
All inclusive here offers: breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks. Also three pools, beach front location, sun terraces, gym facilities and entertainment.

Abodus - Live until 29th Sep 24

Check their Late Deals section for cheap holidays nearer to the time of travel.

Onthebeach.co.uk

Lets you pick your flight first/whichever is cheapest to your destination and then afterwards you choose your hotel. This method is a lot easier when you know the area you want to stay.

The prices are similar to Love Holidays and you can get a 5* hotel for just £442 in Morocco, staying at the Palais des Roses Agadir.

Alternatively there’s lowcostholidays.com which doesn’t offer quite as good rates but you can still find good last minute deals, after all – we deserve a break!
