As you dive further into the semester, you also get deeper in debt. Student discount is life’s way to make things a little easier, 20% off on Krispy Kreme Doughnuts eases the guilt you gain from buying a dozen for yourself. And the 40% off in Pizza Express is practically a god send.

I am here to enlighten you into the world of bargains.

Clothes

Being a student, clothes are more luxurious than ever. So with 10% off big brands and popular stores such as ASOS, Missguided, Boohoo, New Look and Topshop, you can keep treating yourself to the odd item and keep your wardrobe fresh. Not forgetting mens with plenty of bargains at Burton, Topman and Ben Sherman.

Food

You can go out and pretend you are all fancy in a nice restaurant with 40% off at ASK and Zizzi, alternatively just order in and pig out with 20% off at Pizza Hut. And when you do decide to buy bread and milk head to the Co-Op for 10% off, other bigger supermarkets are part of the price match scheme which you can use to your advantage. However the crowning glory of being a student and the thing I use my card for; Free cheeseburger, hamburger, Fries or McFlurry when you buy a medium meal. Um, yes please!

Technology

Need a computer for when you finally decide to get round to doing some coursework? Apple offer 15% off MacBooks, as well as discounts for iPads. Adobe give you a massive 85% off Creative Cloud software; Perfect for video, photo and music editing. To accompany the hours spent working Spotify give you half price premium allowing you to listen to and download ad free music at the click of the button.

 Other

If you are travelling home often then I would highly recommend getting a Railcard. This may seem pricey to begin with but it will give you at least a third off all future rail journeys.

Of course some of these do require a NUS extra card as proof of Student-ness but getting one is so worth the £12 quid! www.nus.org.uk
