I’m going to share my favourite food and drink hacks with you.

Reheating Pizza

When reheating a pizza there is nothing worse than when the crusts go chewy. So when microwaving that one slice of pizza left over from the night before, put a glass of water in with it.

No Mess Pancakes

You know when you are trying to get your pancake mixture from the bowl to the pan and it drips everywhere? Put your mix in an old ketchup bottle and just squirt it onto the pan to keep your worktops clean. This also is good for if you want to create one of those cool pancake pictures, probably won’t be as good as the ones you see online though.

Keeping Wine Cold

Freeze some grapes and when you have a glass of wine, use them as ice cubes so that you don’t water down your drink if you want an ice cold beverage.

Stop Ice Lolly Drips

When eating an ice lolly on a hot day, there is nothing more annoying than when that bright red drip lands on your nice white top. Prevent this disaster by putting a cake case on the stick underneath the lolly.

Keep Pasta Bubbling Over

If you lay a wooden spoon over the top of the pan whilst cooking pasta, it will not boil over and leave you with more cleaning to do.

A Nice Toasted Sandwich

Toast two slices of bread in one slot to toast the outside but leave the inside soft like a toastie maker would.

Keep Opened Food Fresh

Can’t quite finish that big bag of crisps but know that they’ll go chewy if you don’t? Keep the bag closed with the clips from trouser hangers.

No Shopping List? No Problem.

If you’re like a lot of people I know, you probably hate writing lists before you go shopping. Before you go shopping, take a photo of the inside of your fridge and cupboards so that you know what you already have and what you need.

Peel Potatoes Fast

Put all your potatoes in a bucket and jet wash them on high power to peel them in seconds.

Cool Your Drink Quickly

Wrap a wet paper towel around your drink and put it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to cool your drink quickly!
