Ways to Be Happy

You might not have the money you wish you had, or the perfect body, or the most amazing job. But that doesn’t mean you can’t be happy; being happy is a choice that you make regardless of your circumstances. So here are some lessons to help you make the decision to be happy…

Use Humour
Not everything will plan out perfectly the way you want it to. Some things may go terribly wrong and you feel like there’s nothing you can do to resolve it. Now, you can either cry about it, get all snotty, get a headache, and make yourself feel worse. OR, you can laugh about it! Release it’s not the end of the world, it’s a nicer way of coping with stress and also reduces it! Think like this in any situation; try and see the funny side or the positive in everything that you do.

Self-esteem
Treat and talk to yourself like you would your best friend. If your best friend screwed up or was upset, you wouldn’t want to make them feel worse, or tell them they deserve it? So why do that to yourself? Your biggest friend is yourself, and if you can talk positively about yourself, you’re bound to feel better about yourself.

Communication
Talking and sharing is key to happiness. Trapping all your thoughts and feelings inside won’t do you any favours and will certainly lead to overthinking, and when has that ever lead to being happy? Sharing negative feelings might be tough, but you may find them easier to laugh about if you share them with someone you love and trust. A problem shared is a problem halved!

Exercise
Making time in your life for regular exercise can do wonders for your mood! Regular exercise releases endorphins which give you that mood boost you need, not only that, but you are bound to feel better about yourself too as we as improve your health.
