In celebration of National Pizza Day we are here to provide you with our favourite homemade pizza recipe that is guaranteed to convert you from your everyday store value frozen pizza…

Here’s what you’ll need…

Topping:

  • Tomato pureé
  • Mozzerella cheese, grated
  • Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Feta cheese, crumbled
  • Any toppings you choose… (We recommended olives are involved.)

Base: 

  • 400g bread flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp dry yeast
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water

Method:

In a large bowl, combine the flour, oil, salt, and yeast. Gradually add the warm water until you have a not-so-sticky dough ball. Kneed the dough for a good 10 minutes before sprinkling flour on a clean surface and rolling out the dough into your pizza shape. Spread the tomato puree over the top evenly leaving spaces around the edge for the crust before sprinkling on your cheeses. Once you’ve done that, add any toppings of your choice and then bake for 10-15 minutes in a pre-heated oven of 180C (fan assisted). Remove from the oven once its a crispy golden brown and then eat it all by yourself in one sitting…
