Baking Soda and Lemon Juice Paste

On the other end of the scale, we have a completely natural home way of whitening your teeth! Although baking soda isn’t surprising… Sodium bicarbonate gently scrapes away surface stains on your teeth and is very alkaline meaning it’s great  for balancing the pH if you eat a lot of acidic foods! It also reduces the acidity of the lemon juice which acts somewhat like a natural bleach for the teeth! Simply mix a couple teaspoons of baking soda with enough lemon juice to form  paste, and then using a tooth brush, scrub it into your teeth! Leave it for a minute or so before rinsing it off! Easy!

Coconut Oil Rinsing

Sounds grim! But it’s an old method that people swear by! If you don’t mind the taste of coconut, this won’t be so bad. Before you brush your teeth in the morning, scoop out a spoonful of the coconut oil and out it directly into your mouth (or let it soften first if you prefer) and swish it all around your teeth and gums for at least 10 minutes. Rinse out and brush your teeth straight after (mainly because you want to get rid of the taste…) Give them a go and tell us what you think!
