We caught up with Welsh based rapper, Mr Traumatik. He’s well known for albums such as Post Traumatik Stress Disorder, Don’t Judge a CD by Its Cover, and his Traumatised Volumes.

Q 1: Hey Traumatik! How’s it going in your world at the moment?

Everything is very good thank you!

Q 2: So, what made you want to become an MC? Tell us about your journey into the music industry.

When I was 18, I experienced my first drum and bass event in my home town Cardiff. DJ Shy FX and MC Skibadee were there. Since that moment, I was hooked.

Q 3: Who did you look up to in the music industry as you grew up?

Skibadee, Fearless, Eksman, Trigga, Bassman, Wiley, Dizzee, Jme, Devilman, Riko, Big H and P Money.

Q 4: How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard of you before?

One side of my music is very x-rated, dark, violent and a high energy type of music. The other side is more deep, intelligent, controversial, enlightening and mystical.

Q 5: What made you decide to change your style of music from I’m Traumatik Vol 2 to Dr. Dimensional?

The album ‘Dr. Dimensional’ represents the change within me as a person. The more I change for the better, and so does my music.

Q 6: Different MC’s and producers are constantly collaborating. Who would you love to work with?

I used to want to collaborate with all my idols but now  it really bother doesn’t bother me! I enjoy making solo projects more than collaborating.

Q 7: What do you think is special about UK scene from the rest of the world?

It’s originality and rawness..

Q 8: Which new artists do you rate at the moment?

To be honest, I haven’t really been watching the scene that close so I couldn’t really say.

Q 9: What events have you got coming up?

I perform at events all over the UK every weekend, to find out where I’ll be check out my Instagram – officialtraumatik.
