Knockengorroch World Ceilidh music festival 2018 will take place from May 24th to 27th in the hills of Galloway, South West Scotland.

This year Cut Chemist, Transglobal Underground and African female powerhouse Les Amazones d’Afrique are among the international traditional and dance music acts participating in the inimitable event.  The diverse line-up incorporates music to dance to from across the world with more than a healthy splash of traditional Scottish sounds.

Three stages include the grand open stage, crafted from local timber and turf roofed, with fantastic acoustics. The mighty Mungos Hi Fi sound system is situated in the biggest of three dance tents, featuring live acts in the day and DJs until dawn.

The four day festival has been running since 1998.  It remains a meeting point and a party for those who wish to celebrate great music in a fantastic place.  A festival run by a family, for families, in the very broadest sense of the word, it attracts young and old to the banks of a glittering river in the hills, overlooked by the family’s cows.  The experience offers a home away from home and a chance to really get away from it all.  The festival attracts all kind of people from students to families and even older people who still love to party!
