Twin Atlantic ‘Great Divide’ Album Review by Georgina Rowe

Scottish alt-rock band Twin Atlantic are releasing their new album, ‘Great Divide’, this summer!

The lead single from the new album, ‘Heart and Soul’, was dubbed the ‘Hottest Track in the World’ by Zane Lowe in March. It has has since dominated Radio 1 and even if you don’t know Twin Atlantic you definitely will have heard this song by now!

The band are probably most recognisable from lead singer Sam McTrusty’s broad Scottish accent (which has YouTube comments going crazy), and the rock feel to their tracks from the guitar/drum combo. The new album is just as great as their previous material, though more varied in song style.

The album starts with the melodic track ‘The Ones That I Love’, full of soulful vocals and sorrowful lyrics. It then leaps into action with the heavier (and catchier) first single ‘Heart and Soul’, which we all know and love. The rest of ‘Great Divide’ is full of a mix of songs which all have the same Twin Atlantic spirit but show a full range of diversity which proves how truly talented these lads from Glasgow really are.

‘Great Divide’ is a must-buy for fans of Biffy Clyro or just alt-rock in general, and it’s sure to top the album charts this autumn.

The band will be touring this month leading up to the album release:
