Future Talent Awards

The Apprentice is back! Lord Alan Sugar has confirmed it will return with a special double bill on the 14th and 15th of October. This is the tenth series of The Apprentice and there will be a twist right from the start, Lord Sugar will be choosing his apprentice from a pool of 20 hopefuls instead of the usual 16.

Many of the candidates already have their own businesses and are extremely successful in their own right but The Apprentice might even inspire yourself to start your own company. It doesn’t even have to be anything extremely innovative just look at one of the hopefuls, Daniel. He is a 27 year old director of a pub quiz company and describes himself as determined and always playing to win. This attitude could have come from his first job as a football player for Hornchurch FC.

There’s also Steven who travelled to the Arctic to do social work with the remote Inuit communities. He says that he is a great negotiator which is bound to help in the board room, but he does get frustrated when people don’t have the same high standards as him. It sounds like he is going to get on like a house on fire with personal trainer Katie. Having been awarded Fitness Professional of the year in 2013, she knows what she wants in business. Quoted as saying  “I’m like a little stealth bomber that flies under the radar and smashes the competition before they’ve even realised I’m here.” Katie is one tough cookie.

These candidates are just an insight into this competition where you have to try and flog balloons/ sausages/ anything for a profit and the chance to become Lord Sugar’s business partner. Tune in to BBC 1 on the 14th October at 9pm to meet the rest. Who do you think will win?
