What To Buy Your Girlfriend For Christmas by Charlotte Simon

We thought it was about time we had article more tailored to our male readers, so here you go…sort of. If you’re about to enter the frantic search of what to buy your girlfriend for Christmas, we may have found the answer with our best Christmas beauty buys. This list also doubles up as some of our favourite products in general and will serve as gift inspiration for best friends, sisters and treats for the most important person in your life…yourself.

Nars Orgasm Blusher – £21.50

The blusher of all blushers and a cult must-have for every make-up bag. Peachy pink with a golden shimmer it works with most skin tones giving a natural, healthy colour to brighten the complexion. A fail-safe winner.

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Eyeliner – £17.50

This product has received glowing reviews for a reason; it applies super smoothly and doesn’t cause that annoying tug and drag which messes up a feline flick for the nineteenth time. It lasts all day, doesn’t smudge or fade. She’ll love it, we promise!

Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage – £26.50

This is one of my go-to products and can’t recommend it enough, it’s been called Photoshop for the skin, and I agree. The concealer does a great job at covering blemishes without being overpowering or cakey and has some serious staying power. A little pricey in comparison to other well received concealers, but so worth it.

MAC Eyeshadow – £12.50

If your girlfriend always wears a certain colour eyeshadow (I know it’s optimistic to assume you notice), then buy her one from MAC. They are full of pigment meaning what it looks like in the pot is what you’ll get when you apply. They are extremely long lasting and sit perfectly on the eye, without smudging or fading away. Pretty affordable too, so buy more than one for extra brownie points.

Christian LouboutinBeaute Nail Colour – £36

If you can’t quite stretch to a pair of Louboutin shoes this year (or any year) then this might act as an alternative. Not just any nail varnish is packaged in shoe-inspired bottles this would be a seriously indulgent purchase that most girls wouldn’t treat themselves too!

Sigma Beauty Essential Kit – £104.95

Ok, so I know this is a little pricey, but it would make one happy girly! This Sigma brush set features twelve professional pieces for both face and eye make-up. Sigma is known in the beauty and blogging world as being a cheaper version of brands such as MAC, but at a similar quality. If you don’t want to buy the whole lot they are all sold individually

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser Starter Kit – £14.75

Most beauty boffins will have heard of this little gem from Liz Earle. It removes makeup and leaves the skin feeling fresh and soft after just one use. The product has lots of loyal fans that go back for more so I’m sure your lady-lover will be just as impressed.
