We are thoroughly enjoying reading your tweets about, ‘Words That Don’t Get Used Enough’, so we’ve decided to come up with some of our own! Of course, we could’ve gone with words like, ‘please’, ‘thank you’ and ‘sorry’, but we thought we’d think of a few that are a bit more interesting, in order to make you sound extra posh! Here are some usual words you can use to describe your uni mates… and yes, they are in the English Dictionary!
1. Your friend is not lazy, they’re Lackadaisical
2. Your friend is not greedy, they’re gluttony
3. Your friend is not arrogant, they’re haughty
4. Your friend is not an independent, free-spirit, they’re a maverick
5. Your friend is not time-wasting, they’re being dilatory (dilly-dallying!)
6. Your friend is not fussing, they’re being pernickety
7. Your friend is not outspoken, they’re vociferous
8. Your friend is not annoying, they’re being a vex
