Alton Towers Resort – it’s one of the UK’s most renowned roller-coaster parks, but today, disaster hit the resort, when two carriages collided into one another.
It’s been reported that four people have been seriously injured due to the collision and that two air ambulances have arrived on scene.
The accident happened on the parks popular Smiler ride, which holds a World Record for having 14 loops – the most loops in any roller-coaster.
Guests visiting the park have been evacuated whilst emergency services deal with the incident.
