It doesn’t seem that long ago that we were impatiently awaiting the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s first child and today, the adorable tot celebrates his second birthday. To mark his special day, we thought we’d take a look back at some of the most important milestones he’s experienced in his short little life so far…

The public first had a glimpse of Prince George when his parents proudly walked out of St Mary’s Hospital with him following his birth.

His baptism took place three months after his birth on 23rd October 2013 at St James’ Palace. The Archbishop of Canterbury baptised him.

In April 2014, Prince George went on his first royal tour to New Zealand and Australia. Whilst on the tour, he visited Taronga Zoo in Sydney, where he met a bilby called George.

On 2nd May 2015, at 8:34am, Prince George became a big brother. His sister, Princess Charlotte was born weighing 8lbs 3oz. On the same day, Prince George went to visit his younger sister at St Mary’s Hospital in London with his father, Prince William.

On 13th June 2015, following Trooping the Colour parade, we saw Prince George on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for the first time.

Abodus - Live until 29th Sep 24

Most recently, on 5th July, Prince George attended his sisters christening at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham. Princess Charlotte was also baptised by the Archbishop of Canterbury.

So all that’s left for us to say is Happy 2nd Birthday Prince George! He first birthday was based around the theme of Beatrix Potter. We wonder what his birthday will be like this year… no doubt just as good we suspect!
