Singer Gwen Stefani, 45 and her musician husband of nearly 13 years, Gavin Rossdale, 49 have announced that they are separating.

Both parties are said to have filed for divorce at the same time, stating that irreconcilable differences were the reason they were ending their marriage.

Apparently the former couple do not have a prenuptial agreement in place, therefore they will each be entitle to half of the properties that they own in London and in Los Angeles.

They wed on 14th September 2002 and certainly encountered tough times throughout their 13 years together. Just two years after they married, it was revealed that Gavin had a daughter called Daisy with Pearl Lowe, who he previously dated.

Gwen and Gavin also had three sons together, nine-year-old Kingston, six-year-old Zuma and Apollo who is just 17 months old.

According to reports, Stefani and Rossdale are seeking join custody of their three boys and said in a statement, ”While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment.”
