Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is arguably one of the most well-known faces within the music industry to date. Not only was she in one of the most successful girl bands (Girls Aloud), but she also turned her hand to judging on popular ITV show, The X Factor and now the popular brunette beauty has teamed up with Gregg’s in order to fund raise for her charity, ‘Cheryl’s Trust.’

In 2011, in order to give back to her community, Cheryl set up her charity, ‘Cheryl’s Trust.’ The Geordie-born-star grew up in Newcastle and was inspired to set up the trust due to feeling very lucky that she encountered the opportunities that she did. The 32-year-old is only too aware that life could’ve turned out very differently for her.

So in order to help today’s youngsters, Cheryl wanted to inspire today’s youths by providing them with opportunities so that they are able to reach their full potential. The former pop-princess seems determined to give back to her community and prevent young people of today turning to drink, drugs or crime.

Being from Newcastle herself, Cheryl is working with The Prince’s Trust to raise £2million pounds in order to build an art centre in the city, which will help approximately 4,000 people per year.

Here’s the start talking about her reasons for wanting to start up the centre:

To help make her idea a reality, it was announced today that Cheryl has teamed up with popular bakery chain, ‘Greggs’, which isn’t surprising really, seeing as their headquarters is in Newcastle.

The retailers are selling a limited-edition Belgian chocolate crunch bar, which will go on sale for two months, from 8th September 2015. 5p of every bar sold will go to Cheryl’s Trust. So now you have an excuse to interrupt your diet! Do you bit for charity and buy one of these chocolate bars when they on sale in two weeks time.
