September the 29th of every year marks the annual anniversary in which the first Playstation was released onto the European market, and today, in the year 2015, it is a very special occasion as it’s the 20th year celebration of the famed console.
For many of you, this will take you a great trip down memory lane, thinking of the wonderful, careless hours you spent playing on the PS1 as a kid, and for others, it will just emphasise your age. One thing is for sure; you’d have definitely enjoyed a couple of games on the console giant, so here are our favourites from Sony’s initial gaming system…

Number 6 – Resident Evil

So, there you have it; a little bit of nostalgia to boast the hurrah of the first disc console to grace the earth. A gaming system that genuinely paved the way for the technological masterpieces that we have in our bedrooms today, the Playstation was the birth of a brilliant platform, and with that, some great story names which have really stood the test of time. Just think, without Sony’s craftsmanship of the PS1, we wouldn’t have games like Metal Gear Solid and Grand Theft Auto today.
