The UK has some pretty amazing places that everyone should visit. Be it coastal towns, secluded country villages or parks right in the heart of the city, but what many people don’t realise is that the UK is sometimes at its most spectacular during the winter months. And to prove it here are just a few of the most beautiful places in the UK at winter.

The Eden Project, Cornwall

Located in Cornwall the Eden Project is a must visit for any nature lover, and during winter this is no exception. You may even be lucky enough to experience a stunning misty morning at the project, like in the photo above.

At the heart of the Welsh town Caerphilly is this breath-taking castle. With its scattered autumn leaves and a green covering of moss, the castle truly looks wonderful in the winter months.

Richmond Park, London

London in summer is brilliant, but definitely don’t forget about it during the colder seasons too. Head to the many parks in the capital and let the wintery feels overcome you. Richmond Park gets added bonus points simply for the fact it is home to a large group of deer.

Cairngorms National Park, Scotland

For anyone visiting the Scottish Highlands, be sure to put the Cairngorms National Park on your list. You’ll find ancient forests and mountainside rapids, as well as some amazing views. You may also be lucky enough to explore on a snowy day, where you’ll be treated to sights such as the one above. Pretty great right?

Norfolk Broads, Norfolk

It’s known as one of the UK’s most beautiful wetlands and if this picture is anything to go by we can see why! This network of rivers and lakes through Norfolk and Suffolk are a great place to spend a weekend this winter, as the broads really do come into their own during the colder months.
