So when it comes to beauty, i.e skin care and makeup, I think at times we all become a little lazy in our routines, *raises hand and waves*.

I’m going to share with you 10 bad beauty habits that definitely re-occur in my life, and hopefully, I’m not the only one, or that’s just awkward…

Warning: not for the faint-hearted beauty lovers who may feel quite sick at the thought of breaking these rules.

Now, I’ll be the first to admit, I used to use baby wipes to take off my makeup, I’m so glad I introduced myself to skin care products, because wipes are a definite no no. I mean, I’ll use them sometimes, but then follow up with my skin care routine afterwards. But when you’re stumbling home late after a night out, you’re absolutely shattered, you’re throwing up buckets, the last thing you want to do is sit down and do your routine. HAND ME THOSE PAMPERS!

Does anyone actually do this? Or are you all just as lazy as me? Not cleaning your brushes means that you’re wiping germs and bacteria all over your face, especially from that time you tried drastically to cover up that spot with your Real Technique foundation brush.

I’m guilty of this. I’ve done it for as long as I remember, and no not because I’m hungry (I’ve heard all those jokes before), but because I get nervous and anxious easily. It’s not like I can grow my nails long anyway, I wear contact lenses, so the thought of putting long nails near my eyes?! Ah, it’s something from a horror film!!

Putting on body moisturiser after the bath, I’m just too lazy, and it’s just too time-consuming. When I’m in a rush (I’m not a sociable person, I mean I’m just in a rush to lay in bed and watch my fave TV shows), I don’t want to be slapping product on the entirety of my body. I’ve definitely got better at this though, I love having a good ole pamper.

I’m the worst for this. I paint my nails, which takes me hours let me tell you, it’s such a chore. I am so bad at it, I paint them, get restless and just have to touch something (have to constantly be on my phone and all the social media obvs), and then it smudges. Then the next day I can’t help but pick bits off, it’s satisfying, it’s like picking off a scab. Which is absolutely disgusting, (maybe I should have referred to peeling glue off our hands), but don’t lie we’ve all done it. Oh, and especially glitter nail polish, I love peeling that stuff off. And then a day later, my pretty nails are ruined, completely wasted those three hours it took me to paint them in the first place.

Those are only some of my beauty bad habits, I think I’ve come to realise that I definitely need to break these habits this year, maybe I should have added these to my Dreaded New Year’s resolutions post.
