Ah, the time has come for the dreaded New Year’s Resolutions to be made…

I say dreaded because I feel pressurised into improving my health and well-being for the new year. I rack my brain endlessly for ideas on what to change about myself. But then realisation hits. Am I really going to stick to these resolutions?

Probably not.

Past resolutions have been things like, start going the gym, cut down on fatty foods, be a happier person, be more confident… anyone else in the same boat?

If yes, let’s just sail right past the New Year’s resolutions and into January.

Abodus - Live until 29th Sep 24

I do love the fresh start of January the 1st, there’s something so simple and satisfying about it. So for once I have tried to make a resolution that I might actually stick to. Thus, I am going to try and improve my mental and physical health and become a happier, healthier person. Hopefully, I will start the gym and stick to it, cut down on fatty foods, and drink plenty of water… (I bet you’ve told yourself the same each year). It would be great if I manage to accomplish these things in 2016, and I hope you get to accomplish your goals too.

Who am I kidding? Come February and I’ll be doing exactly what I’m doing now, sprawled out on my bed, glued to my laptop, eating chocolates, and whinging about not sticking to my New Year’s resolutions.

Oh well, there’s always next year…
