It doesn’t have to be Pancake Tuesday to get me in the mood to have those delicious breakfast treats. I’m one of those people who will wake up one morning and desperately crave pancakes. Now, unfortunately I’m NOT one of those people who are able to wake up one morning and actually have the ability to MAKE pancakes, so instead I usually depend on my local café to provide them for me.

In my 2 months of pancake adventures and experimenting, I have put together the list of the five most awesome ingredients that will make your pancakes incredible.

Good Ol’ Maple Syrup

Nothing beats maple syrup. That gooey, sweet amazing-ness makes pancakes taste like little bits of heaven!

Peanut Butter

Here’s a good one for all those gym goers! Pancakes do not have to be unhealthy…erm, well maybe a tad bit. But add a spoon of peanut butter on top makes sure that you get in a bit of protein for the day!

Blueberries!

I’ve never been much of a fan of mixing fruit with my unhealthy snacks of goodness, but blueberries are fantastic on pancakes.

Nutella chocolate spread

If you’re anything like my little brother you will smother your pancakes and everything within your vicinity in chocolate spread. It makes unsweetened pancakes taste delicious!

Hazelnuts, walnuts, and pecans

Add some crunch! These nutty combinations always taste amazing with a side of whipped cream or yoghurt! Delicious and healthy.
