Future Talent Awards

We are spoilt for choice in the beauty department on the British high street, but it can often feel like you have to spend a fortune to get quality products. Yet, there really are some amazing pieces hidden away in the isles of Boots and Superdrug; it’s just about knowing where to look.

1.) Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder – £3.99

There is a reason why the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder is a makeup artists favourite… If you’re looking for a no-fuss, basic powder that will work with all makeup looks and keep you shine free all day – look no further! I love this powder for setting my T-Zone and under my eyes to make sure my makeup stays in place all day. The bonus being that Rimmel actually make this in translucent, so no matter your skin tone or type, I know this product will work for you!

2.) Makeup Revolution Sculpt & Contour Kit – £3.50

Another powder product that comes in at an unbelievable £3.50! The Makeup Revolution Kit houses three brilliant shades that work for everyday or a big night out. The bronzer/contour shade is easy to blend, stays in place all day and gives the complexion the warmth it needs. In the middle is a highlight shade that will get any cheekbones glowing – and I mean, high-shine, on point highlight! The blush shade in this palette is a little shimmery, so I like to use it on top of over blushes to give me that extra glow.

3.) MUA Pearl Mono Eyeshadow in Copper – £1.00

The MUA Pearl Eyeshadows are outstanding for their £1.00 price tag. Any makeup addict, like me, will find it hard to stop at just one shade in this collection. Copper has to be my favourite; a beautifully blendable, creamy rose gold, copper that is perfect for any smokey night out look.

4.) Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil – £2.99

Now we’ve covered the skin and eyes, we’ve got to pay attention to those brows! If you have sparse brow hairs, or bushy babes that need a little shape, you’ve got to try the Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil. One of the best I’ve ever tried from the drugstore and only £2.99! Grab yourself a pencil sharpener to keep the nub of this pencil fine and say goodbye to nonexistent brows and hello to on-trend, face framing, eye-widening brows!

5.) Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water – £4.99

After a big night out there’s nothing you want to do less than cleanse your face and scrub away your makeup. But the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water makes it easy and quick – simply chuck a bit of this onto a cotton wall pad and swipe away all the foundation, liner, glitter and gloss. This product will make your skin feel 100% clean with no effort.
