Shaving is a tedious, mundane chore we all hate. You’d think that after all these years of shaving, humans would have evolved to be bald from the eyelashes down. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. So, here are some shaving hacks, tips, and tricks to make shaving a little more bearable.

  1. Keep your razor clean using baby oil as this will make it last longer.
  2. Applying lip balm to a shaving cut will make it stop bleeding almost immediately.
  3.  Be sure to switch your razor blade roughly after 10 shaves so you’re not using an old rusty one.
  4. Exfoliate your legs first for a closer shave.
  5. After shaving, use an olive oil and sugar scrub to remove dead skin, then shave again! A lot of effort, but it will last longer!
  6. Use olive oil over shaving cream for a softer, smoother shave.
  7. Slow and steady glides with the razor are the way to go!
  8. To prevent and get rid of those annoying shaving bumps, dab a cloth in half milk, half water solution and dab on the irritated area.
  9. Do not use soap or fragrances as a substitute for shaving cream; it can dry out your skin and cause ingrown hairs.
  10. Try not to shave too often, as tempting as it might be! The more you shave, the thicker and quicker the hair grows back.
