Love Who You Truly Are

Sometimes, it’s nice to take a step back and think about what sort of person you want to be. It’s easy to put pressure on yourself. We tend to worry about who we are as a person, but for all of the wrong reasons.

Yes, our name and appearance represents who we are in a conformed society, but strip away everything that we present ourselves to be and ask the same question. Who truly are you when you turn the lights out at night and lay in bed listening to your muffled, vulnerable thoughts?

-You’re not the crash diets that you try to participate in because you’re bullied into thinking that you’re ‘too fat’ or ‘too skinny’.

-You’re not being judged by anybody or judging anybody else.

-You’re not words from another persons mouth. You’re not somebody else’s opinion.

-You’re not defined by the job that you do nor the money that you earn.

-You’re not the television programmes that you watch.

-You’re not wearing the clothes that society has somehow decided to tell you is correct.

-You’re not the latest trends or the character that you portray on social media.

But you are..

-You are the thoughts that you have throughout the day.

-You are the gestures and the words that fall out of your own mouth.

-You are the love that you feel for others.

-You are still the once innocent child with a beautiful vivid imagination.

-You are your hopes and dreams.

-You are your favourite colour.

-You are the passion that you feel and the heart pumping your blood and soul around your body.

-You are the breaths that you take in and out every day.

-You are the effort that you make and the time that you give to others.

-You are your intentions with other people.

Love yourself. You are enough.
