Whiter teeth is something we all want but don’t want to spend hundreds of pounds to achieve. But there are some cheaper alternatives you can do in the comfort of your own home to achieve a glamorous set of pearly whites!

HiSmile is an at-home teeth whitening kit that uses a mouth guard, LED lighting, and uses a whitening gel that removes and prevents stains without damaging the enamel and causing sensitivity.

It is widely used by celebrities including Kylie Jenner and Pia Mia, and it looks pretty successful with users reporting they are seeing dramatic changes after only two uses! You can buy the full kit from HiSmile’s site for around £50 and replacing the gel packs for around £25. It may not be the cheapest method but it’s a highly rated product that it far cheaper than heading to the dentist for bleaching.

Baking Soda and Lemon Juice Paste

On the other end of the scale, we have a completely natural home way of whitening your teeth! Although baking soda isn’t surprising… Sodium bicarbonate gently scrapes away surface stains on your teeth and is very alkaline meaning it’s great  for balancing the pH if you eat a lot of acidic foods! It also reduces the acidity of the lemon juice which acts somewhat like a natural bleach for the teeth! Simply mix a couple teaspoons of baking soda with enough lemon juice to form  paste, and then using a tooth brush, scrub it into your teeth! Leave it for a minute or so before rinsing it off! Easy!

Coconut Oil Rinsing

Sounds grim! But it’s an old method that people swear by! If you don’t mind the taste of coconut, this won’t be so bad. Before you brush your teeth in the morning, scoop out a spoonful of the coconut oil and out it directly into your mouth (or let it soften first if you prefer) and swish it all around your teeth and gums for at least 10 minutes. Rinse out and brush your teeth straight after (mainly because you want to get rid of the taste…) Give them a go and tell us what you think!
