Future Talent Awards

Come along to the Tabletop Gaming Live convention in London’s Alexandra Palace on September 29th and 30th to play the latest board games, hear from the makers of your favourite games, prove your skills as one of the best gamers in the UK – and even learn how to make your own game!

Tabletop Gaming Live is taking place on Saturday, September 29th and Sunday September 30th in Alexandra Palace, London. As well as giving you a chance to play the latest releases and upcoming games from the makers of KeyForge, Ticket to Ride, X-Wing, Sushi Go!, Pandemic, Catan and more, the convention will host a number of official tournaments featuring money-can’t-buy prizes.

Save the world together with a friend in the Pandemic Survival Regional Qualifier, a special team version of the co-op hit. Prove you’re the best team around and you’ll be guaranteed a place in the UK National Championships, with the chance to earn a spot at the World Championships – which last year were held in Italy!

If strategy classic Catan is more your game of choice, enter the Catan National Qualifier for the opportunity to be sent to the Catan UK Championship and face off against the winners of other qualifiers to become the UK Catan Champion. How cool is that!

As well as tournaments, Tabletop Gaming Live 2019 will have a full weekend of workshops for visitors to take part in. Join in with a free masterclass to perfect your miniatures painting techniques, or have your models judged in a speed painting competition.

Abodus - Live until 29th Sep 24

Ever had an idea for a game but wasn’t sure how to turn it into a reality? Take part in a game design crash course hosted by expert professional designer James Wallis (creator of Once Upon a Time and The Extraordinary Adventures of Baron Munchausen) to learn how you can make your very own game! You’ll learn everything about how games work, and even go home with a prototype to continue working on. A second family-friendly masterclass on the Sunday will give parents and children the chance to learn together, learning how to find the fun in your ideas and leaving with a game you’ve made during the workshop.

Tabletop Gaming Live will also feature two days of talks from some of the creators of your favourite games, discussing how they made some of the biggest hits on the tabletop. Speakers include Ian Livingstone, co-founder of Warhammer maker Games Workshop, who will talk about his life in games, bringing Dungeons & Dragons to the UK, writing the Fighting Fantasy series of gamebooks and starting up Games Workshop in the 1970s. He’ll also be signing copies of his latest book during the show, so don’t miss your chance to meet a legend of gaming face-to-face!
