Norwich, a city in Norfolk County, England, is home to several universities. There is something to do in this city whether you are a student at the University of East Anglia, Norwich University College of the Arts, or City College Norwich. An East Anglia student may see historic hidden gems, admire the gorgeous architecture in the city centre, and enjoy peaceful river walks. Here’s what you can do in Norwich in a day!

Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery

The Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery is a must-see! This magnificent mediaeval castle is on Castle Hill in the heart of the city. You may learn about Norwich’s history here. The castle has functioned as a military fort, a county jail, and, most recently, a museum. The building holds assets in fine art, archaeology, and natural history, as well as travelling exhibitions from national institutions. The shows change, although there is a permanent collection of Norwich silver, Lowestoft china, and Norwich School of painters art. Tickets for adults are just £.6.70 and can be purchased here.

City College Norwich Students Should Venture Out On Foot

Why not go on a riverside walk with friends along the River Wensum. Start your walk in the centre of Norwich! The route follows both sides of the river for most of the way, and you can take a short detour to see the impressive Norwich Cathedral.

Check Out Norwich Cathedral – College Of The Arts

The Cathedral was founded in 1096 and is one of Europe’s most complete Romanesque buildings, with England’s tallest Norman tower and largest monastic cloister. This ancient site has a history dating back over 1000 years! If you are a student at Norwich University College Of The Arts, make sure to check out the exhibitions that feature local artists that are hosted here. East Anglia Student’s Should Visit Eaton Park

Visit Eaton Park for a winter walk, to see the changing colours of the leaves in autumn, or for a summer picnic in the shade. This park, located on the city’s west side, is one of the most beautiful historic parks in Norwich. The park boasts 80 acres of great things to see and do, so stop by when you can!

The Broads National Park

If you want to get away from the rush and bustle of the city, make your way to The Broads National Park! This national park is about 30 minutes from the city.  You can go boating with your university mates or explore the outdoors and animals. This protected wetland is ideal for a day excursion! For a longer stay, there are a variety of boutique hotels, campgrounds, seaside huts or cabins to choose from. The Broads accommodation will suit any budget which is great for students!
