While it may be a little way ahead, big trips require a bit of planning beforehand. So now is the perfect time to start thinking about where to go during spring break. Spring break gives you enough time to get somewhere unique and while you’re between classes, it is also the perfect time to try something new that will recharge you for the next school term to come.

Here are some incredible destinations for Spring break that offer adventurous and rejuvenating activities. Not to mention, they will provide the backdrop for trips that you will remember for a lifetime!

Iceland

Iceland is a destination that is perfect for those who love adventure and want to be surrounded by nature. The major draws here are the Blue Lagoon and the potential to see the Northern Lights. You can visit the Blue Lagoon by booking your stay here or by purchasing a day pass and enjoying one of the many Blue Lagoon Spa options available. While you can spend at least a week here doing just that and fly into and then explore Reykjavik, you can also visit the surrounding cities and natures capes. Iceland is a destination that offers the perfect blend of rest and rejuvenation, as well as adventure and nature. So whatever you are looking for, you can find it here.

Grand Canyon, USA

Grand Canyon

Most people in the States, as well as abroad, consider the Grand Canyon a must visit during a lifetime. You can go hiking, water rafting, explore by helicopter, and really take it all in in whichever way is your preferred outdoor method. From certain perspectives, hikes here look more than manageable, but once you really get into the incredible landscape from halfway down you really absorb how vast the Grand Canyon is. You can also camp overnight here and adventure however much is right for you. The most popular hiking path here is the Bright Angel trail, and while you can push it, it is recommended to picnic and/or rest at Indian Garden and make the trek back up. Be prepared for incredible sunsets and views while you’re here, and even if you want to go in with the hiking and exploration mindset, pack those items that you’d use to sit down and really take it in as well.

Cappadocia, Turkey

Cappadocia

There are many hot air balloon travel photos circulating the travel and tourism feeds, and Cappadocia is one of those sites that offer this experience. The rock formations are incredibly unique and a true natural wonder. The landscape here was created by volcanic erosion, and with water and wind contributing to its current structures over time, the chimney-like structures we see now are simply stunning. A unique fact that many do not know about this area is that there are also underground cities surrounding Cappadocia connected by tunnels, and while many are open to the public there is also a good portion that is reserved as private property. If you want a destination that really transports you to a different landscape and environment, this is a destination to consider.

Have you ever been to any of these destinations? If not, where would you plan your next spring break?
