Artwork Specifications

If supplying artwork for our digital magazine, we recommend that you merge all floating image files together, resulting in as little layers in your advert as possible. The more complicated your file, the more memory it will take (thus taking longer to load). It will also mean that your advert is at risk of not displaying as it should when the magazine is exported and published.


Full Page Advert

105mm (w) x 148mm (h) / (no bleed or crop lines).
Supply artwork as PDF format with fonts embedded (300 DPI).
Flatten any images and compress file to maximum potential.

Do not use special characters such as “£” or “!”

Facebook

Recommended image dimensions 484 pixels (w) x 252 pixels (h).
Facebook post (one link and no more than 30 words).

Twitter

Recommended image dimensions 440 pixels (w) x 220 pixels (h).
Twitter post (120 character limit including any links).


Deal

Image: 759 pixels (w) x 426 pixels (h) / (this image will be used as a thumbnail – please include very minimal or no text).
Do not include the “Intro Text” or “Redeem Offer Text” in the image at all.

Intro Text: Please supply a short description of your services, and what the offer actually is. (Do not include any discount codes or instructions of how to redeem the offer – this text will be included in the “how to redeem offer” text below.)

Redeem Offer Text: Please supply text outlining how to redeem your deal/offer (e.g. a discount code), any T&Cs, and provide a starting and expiration date. Students are required to enter their details before being able to view this text.


Featured Article/Review

Word count: Minimum of 300 and ideally around 600. Include a short title for your article.
Links: No more than two links should be included.
Header Image: 1200 pixels (w) x 630 pixels (h).

IMPORTANT: All images must have permission from the copyright owner to be published or include a licence. Royalty free images can be sourced from sites such as Unsplash, Pexels or Pixabay. If supplying royalty free images we require the image URL. If no licence or images are provided we will source royalty free images to suit.


Competition

Image: 759 pixels (w) x 500 pixels (h) / (this image will be used as a thumbnail – please use very minimal text).
Text: Please supply a short paragraph outlining yourselves and the competition prize (no more than one link included in the competition text). Text should be approx. 300 words.
Please provide a starting and expiry date for your competition. We recommend the longest time period possible to maximize entries.
Please provide a simple multiple choice question which users can answer to enter the competition.
