McFly have announced the release of their Greatest Hits Compilation, as well as a brand new single.

‘Memory Lane’ compiles tracks from the bands eight year career, taking songs from all five of their albums, including debut LP ‘Room on the 3rd Floor’. The new compilation, released November 26th, will be available in a 22-track standard edition, or in a deluxe two-disk edition featuring 21 additional tracks, including demos, live versions and B-sides. Both versions of the album include previously unreleased demo versions of ‘That Girl’ and ‘Obviously’.

The compilation will also feature three new tracks, including new single ‘Love is Easy’. The track is described as having an acoustic feel, reminiscent of early McFly hits. ‘Love is Easy’ will be released on November 11th.

‘Memory Lane’ is the group’s second Greatest Hits compilation, since 2007’s ‘All the Greatest Hits’, which included tracks from their first three albums. Mcfly also released ‘The Greatest Bits: B-Sides and Rarities’ the same year.

Individually, the McFly boys have all been busy. Last year drummer Harry took part in BBC series Strictly Come Dancing, eventually winning the competition, whilst Dougie was crowned King of the Jungle when he took part in I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ the same year.  Guitarist Danny is also a successful club DJ, and is writing and producing a dance album alongside his production work for McFly, whilst Tom has lent his song writing talents to a total of ten UK No.1 singles, as well as writing several songs for One Direction.

Earlier in 2012 the boys completed their biggest ever UK tour, consisting of 26 sell-out shows. In September they performed two shows at New York’s Gramercy Theatre and LA’s ROXY, both of which sold out in minutes, crashing the Ticketweb site upon release.
