Famous for its rock and metal jukebox, the Swan is a pub that refuses to compromise, with three floors of incredible booze and music. For those of you that like your bars to be dark and moody -this is the place!

Once a biker bar, the Swan is often full of tattooed, sometimes leather clad drinkers – but it’s also popular with after-work drinkers and anyone that loves great beers and whiskey. There’s still an array of posters and pictures hanging on the walls of this pubs past, and it’s not changed too much over the years. The stained-glass window at the front is something to behold, even if the décor isn’t.

But back to the jukebox! Actually, there are two, but the digital one upstairs is no match for the long-standing main event downstairs. You won’t find a better selection of rock, punk and metal and it is played LOUD! So well renowned are the music choices of its visitors, the Swan was the official Trooper party venue when Iron maiden were in town last year, and it’s the pre-gig and afterparty venue of choice whenever there’s a rock band in Liverpool.jukebox15

And it’s not just the atmosphere that brings the Swan’s loyal customers back time and again. Incredible guest ales and selected Belgian bottle beers, along with a great choice of whiskey and award-winning ciders – this is a drinkers pub too. Its weekly quiz night on Thursday kicks off three nights of a late bar, so you can stay and put even more songs on the jukebox.

You’ll find the Swan on Wood Street, which runs parallel to Bold Street. Look for the FACT cinema and the Swan isn’t far away – its neon sign is visible from way down the street. Check out their Facebook page and Instagram page for more information.
