Alexis Rose on Becoming a Teen Influencer, Model and Actor by Jessica Doran

Hey Alexis, thanks so much for having this Q and A with me, I’m looking forward to hearing more about you…

Why don’t we begin by you telling us a bit yourself?

I am Alexis Rose. I’m almost 15 years old (15 in July). I’m going to be a sophomore in high school. I’m an all-star cheerleader, varsity cheerleader, influencer, actor and model. I have one brother and love dancing, I also love being a role model for younger girls.

How did you get into the entertainment/influencer industry?

Abodus - Live until 29th Sep 24

I’ve always loved TikTok and music. I started modelling when I was three, and I always loved taking pics and shooting for brands. I was selected to be Team iC with Inside Cheerleading and Woodward, which grew my love for being in the public eye and the magazine. I got really serious right before COVID about growing my socials. I started working with GirlsRockCosmetics and with Nicole from Rock Your Hair, who became my mentor and taught me so much about growing my socials and collaborating with many other influencers. Eventually, I joined a content squad which helped me meet more industry people and create content for my fans.

What do you like most about your job?

I love meeting new people and getting made up, and just being in front of a camera.

How did you come to be a part of Gavin Magnus’ ‘Fake Love’ music video?

I was doing a lot of content with Gavin, and he and his team asked me to be a part of it. It’s such a great song and an even better video. I was really honoured and proud to be in it.

What advice would you give to other young people who might want to follow a similar career to you?

Make sure that you are all in. Make sure you love it. Keep persevering and keep going. You will get many rejections, but it takes a lot of no’s to get a yes. Take a lot of photos and try to get out of your comfort zone. Take classes and keep working on your craft. Modelling (and the entertainment industry) is so subjective, so if you’re not selected, it usually has to do with what they’re looking for, not with you, so don’t take anything personally.

Is there something that you would like to explore in your career but haven’t yet done so?

I would love to be on a TV series or even star in a movie one day.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?

Hopefully, I’ll have finished college in fashion design and still be modelling and acting.

What projects do you have coming up in the near future?

We are developing a couple of things that I’m really excited about, and they will be coming out soon.
