Brighton’s best-loved independent venue Komedia, in the heart of the North Laine, presents hundreds of performances every year spanning comedy, music, club nights, theatre and more!

A well-known name in the comedy scene, Komedia has won the Chortle Comedy Award for Best Venue in the South a record 18 times and their programme contains their all-conquering resident comedy shows: Komedia Comedy Club, Comic Boom, The Nest Comedy Club and Down the Hatch.

Many famous comedians have passed through their doors over the years, including the likes of; Rob Beckett, Russell Howard, Russell Kane, Eddie Izzard, Romesh Ranganathan, Alan Carr, Sarah Millican, Jimmy Carr, Seann Walsh, Rob Delaney, Ross Noble, Sarah Pascoe, James Acaster and Greg Davies to name just a few.

Komedia Brighton is also an important music venue in the city and a great place to catch a gig, with past performances from James Bay, Lewis Capaldi, All Saints, Bastille, Tom Odell and more.

Komedia is also the Brighton home of the infamous Swiftogeddon and Gal Pals amongst other fun, themed club nights.

Students can book Concession tickets to all of Komedia’s in-house comedy shows as well as getting 10% off of food and drink on the night if they show a valid student ID/NUS card.
