Angel may not be a name that you are familiar with, but he is an artist that is accelerating his way into the UK music scene. After spending eight weeks in the top 20 with his summer anthem ‘Wonderful’, Angel releases his next single ‘Time After Time’ on November 19th.
Anchored by Angel’s powerful and melodic vocals, ‘Time After Time’ is sure to emulate and exceed the success of ‘Wonderful’, which cemented Angel as one of the top five highest selling breakthrough acts of 2012 after selling 250,000 copies.
The 24 year old West Londoner has quickly risen from underground producer to R&B breakthrough in the space of a year, and has been recording with Dizzee Rascal, collaborating with the likes of Ed Sheeran and Wiley, and has been asked to pen tracks for Rihanna. Angel’s popularity continues to grow, after being crowned Radio 1’s ‘new face of R&B’, and with his YouTube channel boasting over eight million views.
Angel’s debut album is due early next year, and will see collaborations with Wretch 32, Frank Ocean, Michael Kiwanuka and Chipmunk.
In the run up to his new single, Angel will be performing at the The Scala in London on October 25th. This headline show follows Angel’s performances at Wireless Festival and V Festival over the summer, as well as a recent support slot for Outkast’s Big Boy at London Brixton Academy.
