It’s finally here! Season 8 of The Walking Dead has finally hit our screens, and you couldn’t help but do a little dance when you heard the iconic intro music coming from your living room…
But you’re instantly confused by these weird… hallucinations? What’s going on in Rick’s head? Is he dreaming? Is it the future? Why has AMC thrown us straight into chaos and confusion? Why the hell is Rick old?!
But then everything is okay because Ricktator Rick is standing on that truck and giving us the motivational speech we all needed.
There’s a well constructed plan playing out, but we don’t really understand it yet… We’re too busy being in awe of Daryl’s strategically placed explosions to lure Walkers to the Saviors.
And when Rick and his team had their guns loaded and Negan stood proud infront of them all on that balcony, they could just shoot him, right? But no, they had to make things complicated, and they totally miss their opportunity. Typical Walking Dead.
And it didn’t really come to our surprise that Gregory is just a big fat snitching liar who only cares about himself.
But you gotta admit, you’re impressed with Gabriel’s character development; he’s pretty badass right now!
But we didn’t care for his decision to save Gregory, and then we were even less impressed when the bastard decided to leg it and leave Gabriel to practically die…
And when Gabriel is suddenly trapped in that mobile room, and we hear Negan’s voice right behind him… Roll credits. A cliffhanger in the first episode?!
